Final Blog

Overall, I think we did a good job as a class. It definitely is not easy to set goals, work toward achieving those goals, and actually accomplish those goals with a group of people. That being said, we definitely could have done a better job communicating and working together. Working with a large group of people is not easy, but it is a skill that should be learned. It was difficult to divide up the work evenly, and it was difficult to manage our time and our priorities on our own. Although it was challenging, it was obviously a lot easier since we were working with each other and helping each other out.f I had to do this project over, I would have communicated and planned more as a class instead of jumping right into things. We were very successful the first two weeks, and then our progress slowed down since none of us knew what else to do.
As a class, I don't think that we collected as many balls as we could have, and I don't think we spread as much awareness as we should have. Although we weren't as successful as I had hoped we would be, I do think that we learned how to support a cause and get our ideas across to the student body. We were successful in that we collected balls and supported a cause, and we were unsuccessful in spreading awareness to the community.
I think I did a good job staying on top of things, and staying involved in the Outreach project. I think that I stayed involved in the project because I really do care about the cause. For those who were not as involved in the project, it was probably not as enjoyable or satisfying for them as it was for me. There were definitely a few kids in our class who stepped up to the plate and took the initiative to lead the class in a positive direction. I can't name one person (I wouldn't even if I could) who I think completely slacked off with this assignment, or didn't care about this assignment. I'm sure some found it much more enjoyable than others, but I think for the most part everyone was successful in their own way. Face to Face is an organization that I have dedicated much time to, and I would do anything for the kids there, so I think that they played a huge role in my individual success with this project.
